About the Journal
Indonesian Journal of Islamic Research (IJIRe) adopts a multi-perspective approach to examining the dynamics of classical and contemporary Islam within diverse social, cultural, political, and intellectual contexts. The journal seeks to bridge Islamic normative teachings with the practical realities of modern society, while critically engaging with the intersections and tensions between tradition, reform, and contemporary Islamic thought.
A primary focus of IJIRe is to demonstrate that Islam is not merely a set of static doctrines, but a dynamic and evolving tradition that continuously responds to contemporary challenges across educational, economic, socio-cultural, political, legal, technological, and global dimensions. IJIRe is published three times a year in January, May, and September. Accordingly, IJIRe invites scholars, researchers, academics, and practitioners to contribute original research articles and conceptual studies that enrich interdisciplinary discussions in Islamic studies.
