Vol. 1 No. 01 (2026)Indonesian Journal of Islamic Research (IJIRe) is an interdisciplinary journal that explores the dynamic relationship between Islam and contemporary social realities. Its scope covers classical and modern Islamic studies while engaging social, cultural, political, environmental, and public-policy dimensions. The inaugural issue, published online on 7 January 2026, presents five articles by 9 authors from Indonesia. These articles examine the role of Islamic institutions in disaster response, Islamic tourism, community empowerment, out-of-wedlock pregnancy, and broader social issues. Through these diverse contributions, IJIRe seeks to bridge Islamic normative teachings with lived experience and to encourage critical dialogue on how Islam responds to current challenges in society. The journal welcomes scholarly works that enrich Islamic studies across disciplinary boundaries and wider intellectual conversations.
