Penerapan Metode Talaqqi pada Program Tahsin Al-Qur’an bagi Lansia di Masjid Nur Asiah melalui Program KKN MBKM Berbasis Riset UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu

Objective: This study aims to implement the talaqqi method in teaching Qur’anic reading to elderly congregants at Nur Asiah Mosque through the Research-Based KKN MBKM Program of UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu and to identify the benefits perceived by the elderly participants. Method: The program was conducted at Nur Asiah Mosque, Sidomulyo Village, Singaran Pati District, Bengkulu City, using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which consists of the Discovery, Dream, Design, and Destiny stages. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and participant satisfaction questionnaires. Results: The program improved the participants’ Qur’anic reading abilities, particularly in the pronunciation of Arabic letters (makhraj al-huruf), understanding of basic tajwid rules, and accuracy in applying mad rules. The program also enhanced learning motivation, self-confidence, and participation in mosque-based religious activities. The satisfaction survey revealed an index score of 92.86%, which falls within the “Very Satisfied” category. Implications: The talaqqi method can serve as an effective alternative for teaching the Qur’an to elderly learners through direct, gradual, and communicative guidance. Furthermore, the utilization of community assets through the ABCD approach can strengthen the sustainability of mosque-based religious education.
